1) Our job is to let the “giving” flow
2) Defenselessness with others is a priceless gift
3) Don’t forget the super-important law - I receive what I offer
Whirlpools are caused when two currents of water are flowing toward each other so neither can move forward and that forms the drain that pulls the water down. And the mission of each flow is thwarted, so to speak. So let’s use that as a metaphor for our inclinations for giving on one hand and getting on the other. We block our own flow of giving with the interruption of trying to get.
So for the good of all concerned, let’s give up the getting notion and allow the giving to flow instead. No opposing ideas crashing into each other and going nowhere. And what to give? Our good will, our presence, open-heartedness, and the crown jewel - the assurance of innocence! Give the gift of your defenseless as you interact with others. This says more effectively than words: “You’re innocent, I’m safe in your presence, all is well.” And remember the amazing law that what you give, you always receive (no getting necessary) so everyone wins and nothing good goes down that drain!
